FAMCO manufactures both motorized and non-motorized dampers for zone control, fresh air intake and exhaust applications.

POWERED DAMPERS

(ADC or ADO SPRING RETURN Model)

SPRING RETURN MODELS

Motorized units are available in either power open (ADC - normally closed) or power closed (ADO - normally open) and with 24 V or 120  V motors.  End switches are available with all models.  End switches allow another appliance to be operated when the damper has reached its full power position (either open or closed).  All units come with a flow control adjustment so that the damper blade can be blocked from opening or closing 100%.  (** NOTE: an end switch will not work if the flow control adjustment is preventing the damper from reaching its full powered position.)

BUTTERFLY DAMPER

The FAMCO Butterfly Damper is one of the easiest, lest complicated dampers on the market.  It is used as a backflow damper in forced air systems, solar systems and exhaust/intake systems.  It has no metal hinges or springs to rust or break and is maintenance free.  The BD has a foam seal providing minimal air leakage.  Due to its unique design it opens easily with normal air flow - closes by gravity.  It will work in either horizontal or vertical positions (except vertical down).

PRESSURE RELIEF DAMPER

The Pressure Relief Damper (sometimes called a dump damper or Barometric Damper) is used to relieve built up pressure in duct systems to help prevent damage to HVAC equipment.  The sliding weight can be adjusted to open when a certain pressure is reached.
