The FAMCO SDWCU copper wall vent is a hooded wall vent that is primarily used for air exhaust applications. This vent is not rated for dryer ventilation, the screen will trap lint and could create a fire risk. Quality constructed from heavy duty 16 ounce, 24 gauge copper. The FAMCO SDWVCU wall vent includes a ⅛ inch insect screen to prevent duct intrusion by birds and many kinds of insects, as well as a built-in hinged backdraft damper.

Hello,
looking to install one of these for a range hood. It's a really short run, but at some point am going to have to connect to galvanized ductwork. Do I have to worry about connecting two dissimilar metals?? I know I do, but are there any precautions I can take to get around that?

Yes - you should use barrier tape to prevent galvanic reactions when connecting a copper vent to steel duct.
