Anything 8" and above would likely look fine for this.

Good construction. Being used as air intake for tiny wood stove. Mounted high on outside wall under eave. Will add smaller sized screen in order to keep out small bugs.

I could not find a vent locally; they all were 7 3/4” wide. This was the exact vent I needed to replace on my 1985 home. Locally they wanted far more money than I was willing to spend to have a custom one made. Finding the correct vent online with a short wait (it did not hold up my construction project) was the kind of experience I wish I had every day. They did a great job for me.
