This is a great product, so far. It doesn’t clog with creosote nearly as quickly as the stainlesss chimney cap I had before. It is far easier to clean since the cap can be removed easily by turning three wing nuts, exposing the cap for easy access with wire brush. While the cap is off, the flue itself can be cleaned with a chimney brush. Also, the Famco cost about twenty dollars less than the previous cap. The six inch cap fit my double wall stainless flue perfectly. The flue is 8″ outside diameter but the inner flue is 6″. So that’s why I bought the 6″ cap and not the 8″ cap. The website diagram shows that the cap fits INSIDE the flue, not outside. Thanks!
