Humble Beginning, Bold Vision

Following the footsteps of his father and grandfather, Marty Artis began working as a sheet metal manufacturer at 10 years old. After 24 years of working in challenging conditions, he believed business could be done a better way. Marty created Fresh Air Manufacturing (FAMCO) to take better care of both customers and employees.  His commitment to quality, innovation and doing right by people laid the foundation for everything to come. 

1995
Expanding Through Innovation

FAMCO introduced injection-molded plastic HVAC products to the product offering, reflecting a drive for continuous improvement, and customer desires for high-performance, cost-effective products.   

1999
A New Home for a Growing Family

FAMCO introduced injection-molded plastic HVAC products to the product offering, reflecting a drive for continuous improvement, and customer desires for high-performance, cost-effective products.   

2000s - 2010s
2002
Continued Growth

Just three years later to accommodate the surge in growth, the facility was expanded by 15,000 sq. ft., a direct result of putting the customer first by offering quality products and quick lead times.

Reaching New Heights With RoofCo

FAMCO broadened its capabilities with the introduction of RoofCo, the company’s roofing division, further strengthening its role in the building products industry by servicing a new set of customers.

The Next Generation

The next generation of Marty’s family stepped into key management roles. Their arrival marked not a shift, but a continuation- a promise that FAMCO’s future would be guided by the same heart, principles, and purpose that defined its past.

Celebrating a Legacy

To honor the life of our founder, Marty Artis, FAMCO announced a new benefit – “Marty’s Month.” This paid, month-long, sabbatical is offered to all employees, every 5 years, to encourage employees to live life to the fullest.  

New World Class Manufacturing Facility Opens in Nampa, ID

In the same year, FAMCO designs and relocates to a state-of-the-art 82,800 sf. facility, reflecting decades of growth rooted in doing right by customers, employees, and community.
