Is this an ember resistant vent? We live in a wildfire zone.

    Hello,

Unfortunately our Louvered Foundation Vents would not be able to be classified as ember resistant. There are certain ratings/classifications that would need to be met before they could be labeled as such and used in those wildfire zones. Our Foundation Vents have not been tested or rated for use in wildfire areas. There is a company by the name of BrandGuard that may have what you are looking for. They might be worth looking up and seeing what they have to offer. Here's a link to their site if you're interested.

  3. Q Is the vent open when the lever is up or down?

When the lever is down, the vent is closed. To open, pull the lever up until it is able to slide back into the slot, and push the lever into the slot until the notch on the lever locks into the slot.Â
