Is the flange a solid piece that needs to be slipped over the pipe or is it split and can be wrapped around the installed pipe?

These collars were exactly what I needed to cover the wider than needed holes in the drywall where the ductwork came through the ceiling. The 5″, 6″, and 7″ inch collars fit perfectly around the ductwork of each of those sizes.
