The FAMCO FWVE Flush-Mount Wall Vent with gasketed damper and screen can be used for air exhaust applications, such as bath ventilation or kitchen range exhaust. The FWVE is our lowest profile metal wall vent, features a damper/gasket/screen and has pre-drilled holes for mounting. The FAMCO FWVE’s are made of 26-gauge zinc-aluminum which can be pre-treated and painted before being installed (be sure to consult a painting specialist on ways to prep the metal before painting). The FAMCO FWVE Flush-Mount Wall Vent is manufactured by FAMCO in the United States and comes with a 1-year warranty against product defects and workmanship. This vent does not include an extension, you would typically feed your existing pipe up to the opening on the flush wall vent

The reason for this rating is due to how this vent is Built on the backside. I had to silicone the seams and holes in the flange so there will be no possibility of water getting in past the 2 piece flange. The flange on the backside should be flat not have gaps where water can get in. Other than that it is a Solid vent.
