Our bathroom exhasut fan makes a loud banging rat a tat sound when the wind is out of the N.E. Is that typical? Is there a way to quiet it down? Does it mean the rubber gasket was removed? Our home is less than a year old.

Thin, very light cheap looking product. I was expecting a more robust galvanized vent – I thought thats what I had ordered based on the description on the website. A little disappointed.
Just updating my review 2 years later. Product is perfect. Been through a few good windy storms and no leaks. Still looks brand new. Glad I spent just a few more dollars for this vent.
