Yes - the extension piece extends 3" beneath the flange, but would be 6" in diameter for our size 6" models
While this vent will work on a flat roof, due to its clearance, we recommend this vent only for roofs pitched 1/12 - 12/12

Excellent Workmanship ! There is a few things I would like to see added. # 1 Heavier gauge material, # 2 More secure attachment of bird screen, # 3 The optional 3″ extension should accommodate the size duct of order. Mine DID NOT !
