At FAMCO, our employees are the heart of everything we do, and each month we take pride in spotlighting a team member whose hard work and dedication embody our values. This month, we are thrilled to recognize Eulalio Velasco Hernandez, who has been part of the FAMCO family for an incredible 21 years.
Eulalio, or Lalo, currently works in the CVR cell as an Assembler III, but his journey has spanned many different departments and cells over the years. He’s learned to adapt and thrive wherever he’s needed. What he enjoys most is the variety of his work and the opportunity to lend a hand across different areas. He humbly shares, “I know enough for every area, but I’m not the best.”
That humility reflects his team-first mindset. For Lalo, teamwork is about ensuring orders are delivered on time and helping colleagues grow in their roles. He takes pride in teaching others and sharing his knowledge so that the whole team can succeed.
He finds motivation in learning new skills. Lalo likes the challenge of working with different pieces and opportunities where he can develop as both an employee and mentor.
One of Lalo’s favorite aspects of his role is the ability to build a product from beginning to end. Whether it’s Chimney Caps or Gable Vents, Lalo starts with sheet metal and carefully builds each piece, assembling the hood, screen, and other components until the product is complete. Unlike other processes that rely on multiple departments, Lalo gets the chance to see the entire piece come together in his cell.
When asked why he thinks he was chosen, Lalo points to his willingness to support the company wherever and whenever he’s needed. From early mornings to long hours, he shows up for FAMCO. He also contributes to general cleaning and supports every cell, ensuring that the whole team benefits from his efforts.
Although he didn’t expect the recognition, having never won before, he shared how much it means to him: “I am very happy to have won it. Feels really good to finally be recognized for the effort I put in.”
To anyone just starting their career at FAMCO, Lalo encourages them to be open-minded. “This is a great place to work. Everyone is like family here, and they are all very welcoming. Show up and work hard. This is a place where you can be for a long time and succeed.”
Outside of the workplace, Lalo enjoys spending time with his daughter. Whether they’re going on walks, swimming, shopping, or visiting the park, he cherishes making memories with her.
Lalo’s story is one of dedication, versatility, and humility. For more than two decades, he has supported his coworkers, helped strengthen our products, and embodied the spirit of teamwork that defines FAMCO. We are proud to honor him as this month’s Employee of the Month.
