After just three months at FAMCO, Hailey Spath is already making a lasting impact. As Senior Inventory Control Specialist for the Warehouse and FAMCO’s newest Employee of the Month, Hailey has quickly become a key part of the team by bringing fresh ideas, strong communication, and passion for organization to the role.
Before joining FAMCO, Hailey worked in retail management and the ammunition industry, experiences that helped shape her detail-oriented mindset and problem-solving skills. Now, her days at FAMCO are filled with a little bit of everything. From managing shipments, reporting, cycle counts, reviewing inventory, and ensuring production teams have exactly what they need to keep operations moving smoothly.
“I gravitate toward organization and numbers,” Hailey shared. “One of my favorite things about working at FAMCO is that management has trusted me to take the reins and bring my ideas to the table. In previous roles, processes were very set in stone. Here, people are receptive to new ideas and different ways to improve efficiency.”
That collaborative environment has been one of the biggest highlights of her time at FAMCO so far. In her role, teamwork is essential. Hailey works closely with warehouse teams, production, sales, supervisors, and fellow inventory control specialists to maintain accuracy and keep communication flowing across departments.
“The warehouse is really the heart of operations,” she explained. “We’re one of the gatekeepers, so communication and teamwork are huge parts of the job.”
When asked why she thinks she was selected as Employee of the Month, Hailey credited the relationships she’s built and the experience she’s been able to contribute.
“I’ve been able to bring in ideas from previous experiences that offer a fresh perspective,” she said. “I try to build strong relationships with the team and be approachable both inside and outside of work.”
Receiving the recognition came as a surprise to her.
“There are so many people here who work incredibly hard and put in long hours,” Hailey said. “A lot of people would be deserving of this recognition, so it feels really good. I genuinely look forward to coming to work every day, and being able to make a difference at a job I love is the cherry on top.”
For Hailey, what truly sets FAMCO apart is the company culture.
“The people here have been so welcoming,” she said. “No one treats me like a newcomer. A lot of companies say they’re like a family, but FAMCO actually backs that up with the culture and support people show each other every day.”
She also appreciates the positive atmosphere throughout the company, from the production floor to the office teams and leadership.
“The environment makes a huge difference,” she added. “When you have supportive people around you, it makes work enjoyable.”
Outside of work, Hailey enjoys spending time with her Mini Australian Shepherd, hiking, knitting, and other arts and crafts projects. She’s also an avid reader and loves to relax with a book.
For those starting a career at FAMCO, Hailey advises them to immerse themselves in the culture and bring their best self to work every day. She believes when you work hard, you really can’t go wrong.
