FAMCO is proud to share that our CEO, Jeff McCarthy, has been appointed Vice President of the Idaho Manufacturing Alliance (IMA) Board of Directors. With more than three decades of experience in the manufacturing industry, Jeff brings a wealth of knowledge, strategic insight, and a deep commitment to advancing the state’s manufacturing sector. This new role reflects Jeff’s personal dedication to helping others in the manufacturing community, while also providing significant value to the members of IMA.
Under his leadership, FAMCO has been actively involved in industry associations like the IMA, becoming a member to stay connected to evolving best practices, supply chain strategies, and workforce development initiatives.
The IMA is designed to unite manufacturers across the state. By facilitating the exchange of best practices, advocating regulatory issues, and providing networking opportunities, IMA helps Idaho’s manufacturing sector remain competitive on both a national and global scale.
“IMA is about sharing knowledge,” Jeff explains. “It’s about helping each other advance, staying ahead of industry challenges, and continuously improving people, products, and processes.”
As Vice President, Jeff will take on strategic responsibilities, guiding initiatives that add value for IMA members. An upcoming project he is championing is the development of health care solutions for member companies, a complex but critical issue for many smaller manufacturers across the state.
“This role is about serving our members,” Jeff says. “It’s an opportunity to give back to the community, especially smaller companies that may not have had the same resources or opportunities I’ve experienced.”
The partnership between FAMCO and IMA is rooted in a shared commitment for continuous improvement. Both organizations prioritize constant learning and innovation, not just in products and processes, but also in workforce development and company culture.
“For FAMCO, being part of IMA means learning from others and sharing what we know,” Jeff notes. “We’re all working toward the same goal: keeping American manufacturing strong and competitive.”
Idaho’s manufacturing landscape is rapidly diversifying. While the state has long been known for food and agriculture manufacturing, new sectors are emerging as significant contributors to the local economy. Jeff sees tremendous opportunity in this growth and aims to use his role on the IMA board to help guide this evolution.
For Jeff, success in this dual role will be measured by the value delivered to IMA’s members: Stronger programs, increased membership, and meaningful collaboration that helps every manufacturer thrive.
“Helping IMA do better means helping Idaho manufacturers do better,” Jeff emphasizes. “When our industry grows stronger, we all succeed.”
For Jeff, success is among the horizons for the manufacturing sector in Idaho. With more diversity in the industry, he hopes to help create a promising landscape for every scale of manufacturer. FAMCO proudly supports Jeff’s initiatives to create meaningful impact across Idaho’s manufacturing landscape and we look forward to watching him carry out his role as Idaho Manufacturing Alliance’s Vice President of the Board of Directors.
