We’re thrilled to shine a spotlight on Tatum Zingg, our exceptional Marketing Associate, who has been recognized as FAMCO’s Employee of the Month! Tatum’s journey at FAMCO is a testament to dedication, growth, and the power of a supportive work environment.
Tatum joined FAMCO almost three years ago as an intern, embarking on what she playfully calls a “guinea pig experiment.” Her talent and hard work quickly propelled her through the ranks, evolving into a Marketing Coordinator and then a Marketing Associate, now serving in a full-time capacity. This progression has allowed her to significantly expand her knowledge of our products and services, taking on increasing responsibilities.
In her role, Tatum’s daily tasks are dynamic, ranging from monitoring social media and email performance to providing essential materials for our sales team. She’s also instrumental in creating sell sheets, catalogs, analyzing performance metrics, and managing trade show preparations. Her favorite aspect of the job is the creative freedom and independence this role provides, allowing her to channel her creativity towards shared company goals and witness tangible results.
Tatum was genuinely surprised and honored by the Employee of the Month recognition. She believes her efforts throughout the year, particularly those showcased at the AHR trade show, helped broadcast her work to a wider audience within the company, leading to this well-deserved award.
When asked about her favorite part of working at FAMCO, Tatum said, “I know it’s a cliché, but it’s the great people here at FAMCO”. She describes a supportive culture where colleagues are friends, fostering an environment where everyone feels comfortable seeking help and collaborating. This aligns perfectly with FAMCO’s family values, which Tatum deeply appreciates. As her first corporate role, she values FAMCO’s commitment to employee growth, teamwork, and, notably, work-life balance. A prime example of this commitment is the company’s support for her move to Connecticut, allowing her to continue her beloved role remotely.
For those starting their careers at FAMCO, Tatum advises being open to listening and learning, but also to confidently showcase their natural skills and passions. She believes FAMCO is a place that truly listens and provides opportunities for employees to grow in areas they care about.
Outside of work, Tatum is an avid outdoors enthusiast, training for a half-marathon and a full marathon, and enjoying activities like running, hiking, and walking her dog. Looking ahead, she’s excited to continue developing marketing strategies focused on directly engaging with end-users and contractors, aiming to help them solve problems more effectively and make a significant difference in how they interact with FAMCO’s products.
