This vent is not rated for dryer ventilation, the screen will trap lint and could create a fire risk. Quality constructed from heavy-duty 28 gauge galvanized steel. This kit comes with a gasketed backdraft damper that can be oriented in the duct run for either intake or exhaust, and a hooded wall vent with a shorter 4½ inch tube and ⅛ inch insect screen to prevent duct intrusion by birds and many kinds of insects. An economical solution for air balance. Provides supplemental combustion air intake. Ideal for spot ventilation needs.
