Best upgrade for galvanized vent
If you are looking to replace your ugly galvanized fresh air intake vent, this definitely looks much nicer. Mine was an 8″ vent and it fit the existing 8″ pipe perfectly. Glad I bought it.

These look great. Much better than the dryer-style hooded vent at this size. There’s no damper option, the screen is a big large if you want to keep out the wasps (just add one of your own on the inside) and you’ll wish that the connecting flange was a bit longer than 1 inch. But for looks, these are the tops. The quality of the unit is much better than you’ll find at the big box stores.

The vents were delivered on time and in excellent condition. I made one modification, that being a plastic rod glued to the vents as the screen area had a bigger hole pattern then I wanted. I then painted them to match the house and installed them within 30 minutes. I’m very satisfied.
