My vent hole was almost exactly 6 inches in diameter. The outside diameter of the vent collar was greater than 6 inches. I had to cut V shaped cuts around the collar in order to compress it to slide into the 6 inch hole. Other than that, it was great.

Fit as expected. I replaced the original famco with a version with fixed louvers. The original would just flap in the wind and was annoying to everyone inside the house
