The FAMCO FR furnace filter rack is made to hold a 4 inch furnace filter – smaller filters can be used, although you will need to secure the filter using spacers at the corners to prevent them from moving in the slot, these are not provided with this product.   2. Item well built and looks great too. I did a little modification and made small clips at the corners to hold the filter tight so it has a good seal as the furnace and filter are horizontal. Would most definitely buy again!

    Can the door be rotate 90 degrees to open on the long side?

    The door to the furnace filter rack does not open to a 90 degree angle using a hinge. It is a simplified door that is held in place with snap clips.

    All of our filter rack sizes will be 7" with 4" filter slot
