The FAMCO CTSS-S cone top chimney cap with screen is a standard replacement rain cap. It is used as an all weather (seamless) chimney cap to keep rain and snow from getting down the chimney pipe. This product is built for a single wall pipe and comes with a built in ¼ inch screen (Not rated as a spark arrestor, consult your local building codes for chimney screen requirements before purchasing). Please note: this model with built in screen has a fixed base and will not include an adjustable drawbolt collar. Quality constructed from heavy-duty 26 gauge stainless steel.

  2. Good price for stainless. The old one was galvanized steel that rusted and colored the light asphalt shingles. I used Oxalic acid from Home Depot paint department to remove the rust color and did not want that coloring to continue. Vinegar did not do well for restoring the shingle color.

Can this cap be made to a larger size? We are cladding our chimney pipe with metal to match the roof. We would in turn want to get this style cap and get it powder coated to match. Jason asked on July 18, 2021

We are currently only able to manufacture these caps in stainless steel up to a 12" connection, and in galvanized steel for up to a 16" connection.

These products are sized to fit over the OD size of single wall pipe - we do offer caps sized for 6" ID double/triple wall pipe, although we are not currently able to offer these with a built in screen option.
