Scare Away Hunger Food Drive

Thank you to everyone who participated in FAMCO’s “Scare Away Hunger” Food Drive!

For the last five years, FAMCO has been holding an annual food drive to help support our local donation center, the Idaho Food Bank. This nonprofit organization has a mission designed to “help feed, educate and advocate for Idaho’s hungry through collaborative partnerships to develop efficient solutions that strengthen individuals, families and communities.” Over the last several years, FAMCO has been able to see the impact The Idaho Food Bank has left on our community and is proud to sponsor and support the vision of “a hunger-free Idaho”.

 According to our director of this annual food drive, “Family, community and building relationships was so important to Marty, FAMCO’s founder, that our annual food drive is just one of the ways to keep that legacy going and to try and show our community how important they are to the FAMCO family”. Having the chance to honor the founder of our company, while also helping our community during the most financially vulnerable times of the year, is so important to us.

Since starting this food drive in 2018, FAMCO has been able to donate 10,327 non-perishable food items to the food bank, along with a total of 2,189 food items from this year’s results. This month-long donation period is celebrated between FAMCO and its sister companies, as employees race to be the top contributor. This is a great opportunity for the FAMCO team to come together and embody one of our FAMCO family values to ‘contribute our gifts and talents’ to help the community.   We are thankful for everyone who participated this year, we are so excited to help the Idaho Food Bank make a difference in the lives of the hungry!
