This vent is not rated for dryer ventilation, the screen will trap lint and could create a fire risk. Quality constructed from 28-gauge galvanized steel, in a pre-painted black, brown, or a paint-ready treated paint lock steel. The FAMCO Textured Wall Vent – Vertical Grain, w/ Screen and Damper includes a ¼ inch insect screen to prevent duct intrusion by birds and many kinds of insects, as well as a built-in hinged backdraft damper.
